Over the time it’s been published, animated and reimagined and the color schemes refresh along the way. I think most people have a favorite Winnie the Pooh Quilt Color remake and color scheme. Cheerie and Rustic Winnie the Pooh Color Scheme

For my Godson with a Winnie the Pooh themed nursery, I wanted this quilt to have a bright and mismatched feeling. The squares are quite small which makes it feel extra maluable and sweet. Even for a small baby quilt, you get a lot of different colors packed in.

When creating a randomly colored quilt, how you disperse your colors is key. To create this look, I used colors that are similar tones and added few outliers for contrast. If you have two colors the same next to one another, don’t fret.

Creating a “Random” Look Square Quilt Design Tips:

I find it’s a little easier to manage the overall vision if I sew in blocks rather than in rows. I can switch out blocks and turn them to improve and edit the quilt design until the end.

For this Winnie the Pooh quilt, I chose to do smaller squares. While classic in design, the small squares will add a bit of a cutesy patchwork and hominess to the nursery.

The straight line hand stitching across the quilt in different shades of yellow add a little extra texture and more varity of yellow to the front and the back of the quilt.

Another Winnie the Pooh palette inspired by a friend’s vision for her nursery – Winnie the Pooh in the classic illustration era.

Thinking about subtle watercolors and pastels on white paper led me to these fabric colors. The gold was toned down and I introduced some coniferous greens to the palette and a lighter lemony yellow. I thought the peach looked very dreamy and classic with some of the neutrals brought in.

Extra Details

The silk bindings make this soft and handsome quilt a snug-able, chewable quality.

On this quilt, I cut a diagonal orientation for the squares. It does mean losing some fabric on the edges but worthwhile and elegant detail.

This beige gingham is a delicate pattern that compliments and adds texture to the solids. It’s hard to remember that this quilt doesn’t have any wild patterns – always impressed me what you can do when quilting with solids and simple patterns. I’m hopeful their looks will last a long time.

Sophisticated Winnie the Pooh Color Scheme

Solids and simple prints take a modern design with Winnie the pooh schemes. This one has a touch of cool, van dyke brown that adds a bit of punch/sleekness to the contrast.
