No Bake Chocolate Truffles with Garbonzo Beans

These no-bake chocolate truffels are induldgence meets nutrition. These chocolate truffesl have a unique ingrident – protien packed beans. Naturally sweetened and free from refined sugar, these bite sized treats are both nourishing, filling and delicious. Both vegan and gluten-free there are many alernatives for a varity of dessert flavors. For snack size, protein packed treat, treat your these no bake, chocolate truffles when you are craving something rich and chocolately.

No Bake Chocolate Truffels with Garbonzo Beans Ingredients:

Two cans of garbonzo beans

1 cup Nut Butter (Any organic nut butter alternative will do, I enjoy cashew butter with this recipe )

1- 1.5 cups of Melted cholate chips of your chocie (Use a double boiler method to melt chocolate.)

Blend beans, nut butter, and melted chocolate in a food processor or a blender, I use a vitamix until creamy smooth.

To Make:

After melting the first batch of chocolate and blending all ingredients together, scoop out your prefered size and place on a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Then feeze the truffle. Once frozen or nearly frozen you can roll the truffles into smooth spheres. Freeze again if needed and dip the truffle in the rest of the melted chocolate. Top with any of the idea listed below. Only three ingredients are needed in this recipe but to make you flavor bolder, healthier or just give your family more variety try these.

  • Coconut flakes (roast coconut for more flavor)
  • Tahini
  • Pisachios
  • Hazelnuts
  • Very finely chopped dates
  • Cinnamon
  • Sea Salt
  • Banana
  • Coffee
  • Berries
  • Maple Syrup

Store your chocolate truffles in a air tight container and freeze for 4-5 months, though it’s doubtful they will last that long once your family gets a taste.

This recipe is easy to prepare ahead and makes for a easy gluten free desserts you can bring or serve.
